When you submit a resume, it is scanned into the electronic applicant tracking system where it is kept active for six months. Tips for preparing an effective scannable resume include:
• Use white or light colored standard letter size paper.
• Make sure the resume you submit is clean and clearly readable.
• Use standard typefaces between 10 and 14 points in size.
• Use any standard resume format.
