Good news, Bedrock City fans: The Flintstones-themed park in Williams is going to reopen for a short time this summer before permanently shutting down.

Bedrock City closed earlier this year when it was bought by a new owner. The owner, Troy Morris, told The Arizona Republic that he plans to reopen the park in June for the summer visitor season. Morris encouraged visitors to bring photos from previous visits that can be used for a display that will memorialize the "Stone Age" roots of the park.

The plans for the area include turning the 30-acre property into Raptor Ranch, a wildlife education facility. When the park reopens for the last days of Bedrock City, Raptor Ranch will also be in its early stages.

Morris says the full plans for the park will take a few years to complete, but visitors coming to say goodbye to Bedrock City will be able to see what the future will hold.
