A popular concert series at a Tucson-area state park will continue this month and next, Arizona State Parks and Trails announced recently.

The Music in the Mountains Concert Series has become a top attraction at Catalina State Park, located in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Now, the concert series is returning with two Saturday dates in January and two in February, the department said in a news release.

On January 5, the park welcomes Barry Ward, who "shares his love of country and gospel music." On January 19, Joe Stoddard will offer "a new twist with music and comedy." Both January concerts start at 2 p.m.

Next month, Rene Taylor will perform jazz standards on February 2, and the Saguaro Sunset Trio, a repeat performer in the series, will play bluegrass, country and folk tunes on February 16. Both February concerts start at 3 p.m.

The concerts are free with park admission. An all-day pass costs $7 per vehicle. For more information, visit the park's events page.
