Christmas-tree cutting permits are now on sale for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. So, if you're a fan of chopping down your own Christmas tree, act now!
The forests have 7,500 tree-cutting permits available for trees up to 10 feet tall. You can buy the permits at Big 5 Sporting Goods stores around Arizona, any forest office or a few vendors in Springerville and Greer.
Cutting is allowed starting Friday and continuing through Christmas Eve.
