Our March issue, on newsstands now, features They Say I'm a Monster, Matt Jaffe's story on one of Arizona's most well-known and elusive lizards (and one of only two species of venomous lizards in the world). In response to Jaffe's story, we received the following email from Charles Wiley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, along with this photo.

Good read. I have attached a picture of my Dad with Mom, holding a Gila monster by the tail. (Alive or dead?) This was in the 1940s, taken on the Sells Indian reservation, where they lived and worked.

I could go on with stories but won't bore you. I had this picture among our Arizona treasures and, after reading the Gila monster story, just had to send it to you. Love your Arizona Highways; it keeps me in touch with my roots.

Thanks so much for sharing, Charles.
