In honor of Presidents' Day, Grand Canyon National Park and other national parks and monuments in Arizona (and elsewhere) are waiving entrance fees this weekend.

You can get into the parks for free Saturday, February 14, through Monday, February 16. Other fees, such as camping, guided tours and concessions, will still apply.

If you do decide to see the Seventh Natural Wonder, bundle up. The South Rim is at an elevation of 7,000 feet, so be prepared for winter weather this time of year. The North Rim is closed in the winter.

Other national-park fee-free days this year: April 18-19 (in honor of National Park Week), August 25 (birthday of the National Park Service), September 26 (National Public Lands Day) and November 11 (Veterans Day).

For more information on fee-free days, visit www.nps.gov/findapark/feefreeparks.htm.
