An art collective from Santa Fe, New Mexico, is expanding to Phoenix with a planned 400-room hotel and entertainment venue.

The Meow Wolf company is planning to open a first-of-its-kind art concept in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

ABC15 reports the venue will have 400 rooms, designed by local artists, that will offer different overnight experiences. The plans also include a 75,000-square-foot art exhibition and a 10,000-square-foot music venue.

The venue is expected to be built in the Roosevelt Row district, near Third and Garfield streets.

“Our partnership with True North Studio in Phoenix is a perfect opportunity to explore this wild concept," says Meow Wolf CEO and Co-Founder Vince Kadlubek, in a statement on the company's website.  "Our intention for this venture is to collaborate with the creative community in greater Phoenix to produce an authentic, local statement of expression which will bring further excitement and creative energy to the Roosevelt Row Arts District. This project is going to be truly monumental on so many levels.”

At this time, there are no dates for when construction will begin or when the venue is expected to open. The website does say it is a "multi-year project" in Phoenix.
