We know, we know: Your Facebook feed is inundated today with posts about the election. This is one more.

Regardless of what political party or candidates you support, we hope you'll make time to vote today. There is no more American activity than exercising the freedom to choose who will represent us — in the White House, in Congress, and in state and local government. In Arizona, the polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. today. To find your polling place, visit the Arizona secretary of state's website.

Arizona Highways does have a dog in this fight (literally), but we recognize that our chosen candidate faces long odds, since he is not on the ballot in any state and also is not a person. The magazine, as near as we can tell, has never endorsed an actual presidential candidate — not even Barry Goldwater, who wrote and photographed for Arizona Highways for decades.

We plan to keep it that way. But we also believe that when more people participate in an election, our country is made stronger, regardless of the outcome. Get out there and vote today, America!
