It's already billed "America's Friendliest Airport," but now Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport can add another accolade to the list. The Phoenix airport has been named the "Best Airport for Shopping" by USA Today's 10Best Travel Contest.
Sky Harbor is noted for having a variety of options for those seeking some retail therapy while traveling. From searching for unique finds at boutique stores to grabbing last-minute travel gadgets, there are plenty of options for travelers.
Many of the recent upgrades at Terminals 3 and 4 have added to the airport's appeal; there are now 16 new shops within Terminal 4.
Additionally, The Arizona Republic recently reported Sky Harbor is looking to add more automated stores to the airport, in order to appeal to more "Millennial travelers."
