From the issue: "'Navajo Boy and Little Goat' by Allen C. Reed. The photographer says, 'This photograph was made recently in Monument Valley while I was on an assignment to create an album cover for a most outstanding, Long-Play, High Fidelity Columbia Record release entitled, 'Reflections of an Indian Boy.' This original inspiring tone poem by Carl Fischer, so sensitively performed by Paul Weston and his orchestra, is based on Indian music rhythms. After swapping a sack of onions and a sack of potatoes for the little goat, I took boy and goat where only a jeep or a horse can go up on the rim overlooking Monument Valley. After completing the Columbia Record assignment, I couldn't resist an additional color study for a possible Arizona Highways cover. So, with the blessings of Paul Weston, musical director of Columbia Records, here it is.' ... The Navajo model, though well-paid, was such a fine and cooperative subject that he received a bonus — the little goat for a pet and companion in a big and lonely land."
