From the issue: "'Herb Martyr Lake — Chiricahua Mountains' by Richard D. Bucher. Herb Martyr Lake, in the Chiricahua Mountains, is accessible from Portal by way of the Cave Creek Road. Lake, hardly more than a large pond, is located on the east side of the range." It's hard to tell if this pond still exists, but today, there's a dispersed campground at the site.
