A Mesa-based artist's new mural in Scottsdale features an intriguing puzzle, and the artist is offering a prize to the first person to solve it.

Xandriss' 8-foot-wide painting, Waltzing in the Superstitions, features a single continuous line that goes throughout the entire mural and never crosses itself. She's challenging participants to find the two ends of the line. And there's a hint: One end is marked with an X, which Xandriss says is an allusion to the history of treasure hunting in the Superstition Wilderness.

If you'd like to take a shot at solving this riddle, you can find the mural at the Marshall Square Galleries complex at 7077 E. Main Street in Scottsdale. The winner will receive a free black-and-white art print of his or her choice from Xandriss' online store.
