Despite a cold trek through a hail storm, the view paid off when I had the opportunity to take this photo of Horseshoe Bend, a landmark near Page, Arizona. My photo is only the right side of the horseshoe shape but captures how the flow of a river carves through the rocks.

There was a big bush full of bees and although I was scared to go near them, the bees were very calm and I was able to snap a picture of this bee.

Before fall I saw this butterfly on a saguaro cactus and I immediatley knew i had to take a picture and just as i was going to snap it, the butterfly closed its wings and I knew I had to submit it.
