The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® will be held February 9-12, 2017 at the Tucson Convention Center. This is The Show to visit for world class exhibits of minerals and gems from private collectors and museums from around the world. This year, the theme is “Mineral Treasures of the Midwest.” Along with the exhibits there will be educational opportunities. Starting Friday at 2:00 pm until closing on Sunday the children can visit Junior Education, where students from the University of Arizona will be showing and explaining many features of geology and mineralogy and where they can leave with a small collection of minerals. For the adults, we will have a lecture series with topics ranging from How to photograph a mineral to moon rocks. The Micromount Symposium will be held during our Show and you can view minerals so tiny you need a microscope to view them.
The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® has something for everyone: minerals, gems, jewelry, and special items in every price range for sale; education for adults and kids; giveaways every hour and a grand prize giveaway on Sunday afternoon. The Show starts at 10:00 am each day. For more information visit www.tgms.org or call 520-322-5773.
