2 EDITOR'S LETTER
4 LETTERS
We get letters from around the world. We always have. And so many are so interesting. So, as we look back on a century of publishing, we thought you might enjoy seeing some of our favorites from the early years.
8 MILESTONES
Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, Pabst, John Deere, Colgate, Red Wing, Whirlpool... all of the century-old legacy brands in America have had their moments. In 1915, Coke debuted its contour bottle. In 1936, Harley introduced the Knucklehead, the world's first overhead-valve engine. And in 1968, Colgate started adding MFP fluoride to its toothpaste to help fight cavities. We've had some milestones, too. They're not necessarily the most critical moments in the magazine's history, but we think they're interesting and worth remembering.

48 A CENTURY OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Compared to the Grand Canyon, we're not very old. But like the natural wonder, our makeup has been shaped by gradual shifts over many years. Nowhere is that more evident than in our photography. From the impeccable compositions of Hubert A. Lowman to the counterintuitive use of light by Joel Grimes, the idiosyncrasies of so many great photographers have played a key role in the evolution of our portfolio.

74 THE ARIZONA HIGHWAYS HALL OF FAME
Like every great magazine, Arizona Highways measures up because of the incredible men and women on our masthead. But we couldn't do what we do without our contributors - the gifted artists, photographers, poets and writers who get the bylines. We've had some superlatives over the years, and this month, as we celebrate our centennial, we're officially inducting 15 of them into the Arizona Highways Hall of Fame.

100 OUR WORLD HEADQUARTERS
There's nothing sophisticated about our workspace, but, like a hammock in the woods, it's comfortable and familiar. And it's home.
