The Wickenburg Underpass

BY: L. C. BOLLES, Whiteriver
THE odd design of the proposed Wickenburg underpass met the problem of separating both railroad and highway traffic. Two streets, see cut, parallel the railroad, as the hazards of the rails are removed safely from U. S. Highway 60 below. R. A. Hoffman, bridge engineer for the Arizona Highway Department, designed the structure, while Earl V. Miller, engineer of plans, conceived the street design and approaches. The underpass will be built early this year. The budget provides $125,000 for the project.
