Praised Be My Lord With All His Creatures

Of creatures near to mankind none are closer than sheep or the grazing cattle to which man has become the guardian. Horses are trusted friends and the donkey a humble servant, and neither asks more than a little care. In the forest the fawn has a gentle grace and there are no lovelier creatures than those of the deer family. The soft rabbit is a playful fellow and the squirrel a thrifty and amusing neighbor. All are specially gifted for independence in their way of life. Our friends of the forest are grateful just for freedom and each has a purpose in this pleasant world.

Of this earth's creatures the birds are nearest heaven. There are none more grateful than the singing larks who put their thankfulness in song. The birds of the sky are happy for homes and sun and water. They sing their gratitude for tall trees, for fruits and grain and for the air to fly in. No creatures are truer to their sacred trust of rearing and feeding families. The birds are marvels of sense and beauty living in a wonder world. The butterflies may be fairy folk with jeweled wings of sparkling hues, but every day is made brighter by the melody of birdsong.

The Church of All Christian Faiths dominates the skyline looking north from Lincoln Drive near Tatum Boulevard, 44th Street. The beautiful structure contains one of the most significant collections of leaded stained glass windows in the American West, the gift of Mrs. John C. Lincoln to the Glory of God and as a Memorial to her husband, John C. Lincoln. They were designed by Maureen McGuire, Scottsdale artist, in her home, and built at the Glassart Studios, Scottsdale, Arizona.

In addition to the windows depicted herein, are the bell tower windows, and the main window which forms a background for the chancel sanctuary. It is the largest (20 by 30 feet) and the theme of "Creation" is represented by more than 7,000 pieces of stained glass of various shades. The panel on page one is the centre portion of the "Redemption" 16 by 19 feet. The "Revelation" window is 16 by 19 feet..
