TIRED DRIVERS COURT ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES
Motorists who boast about the large number of miles they drive between sunup and sundown probably have frequent opportunities to do their boasting in the hospital, if studies made on fatigue by operators of commercial vehicle fleets are any indication. Fatigue, caused by lack of sleep or long working hours, is a highly important accident factor, according to the National Safety Council. More automobile accidents occur during the late afternoon hours when workers are going home than in the morning when they are driving to work. Cross-country truck drivers are more prone to accidents during the late hours of the day.
