Road Projects Under Construction In Arizona DISTRICT NO. 1
Geo. B. Shaffer, District Engineer Packard and Tanner have the surfacing and oiling of N.R.H. 80-B on U. S. Route 66, beginning near Crookton and extending west 8.96 miles, 4% complete. R. C. Bond, Resident Engineer.
Packard & Tanner have the grading and draining of 10.8 miles, N.R.H. 98-C, beginning at the Maricopa-Yuma County Line and extending east on U. S. Route 60, 4% complete. C. S. Benson, Resident Engineer.
Packard & Tanner have the grading and draining of 18.7 miles, N.R.H. 98-D, beginning a short distance west of Salome and extending northeast on U. S. 60, 1% complete. C. S. Benson, Resident Engineer.
Phoenix Tempe Stone Co. have a contract for grading, draining and placing of base course and oil processing of N.R.H. 72-A, 10½ miles, beginning 23% miles south of Prescott on U. S. 89 and extending southwest. M. Kisselberg, resident engineer.

F. N. Grant, District Engineer Hodgman & MacVicar have a contract for the grading, draining and plac-ing of base course on approximately 9 miles on U. S. 89, beginning six miles east of Flagstaff and extending north. (Construction 64% complete). Joe De Arozena, resident engineer.
Pearson-Dickerson & Roger Bros. have a contract for the grading, draining and placing of base course on 3.3 miles on U. S. Route 66, N.R.H. 83-G, located approximately 18 miles east of Holbrook. (Construction 46% complete). A. J. Kerr, resident engineer.
Jack Casson has F. A. Projects E-60 and E-68-A, which consist of surfacing and oiling of 8 1-3 miles of highway, beginning 11½ miles south of St. Johns on U. S. Route 260 and extending toward Springerville, approximately 40% complete. H. Pinney, resident engineer.
The Arizona Sand & Rock Co. has completed the surfacing and oiling of approximately 5.9 miles on the Holbrook-St. Johns Highway, F. A. Projects E-78-B and E-78-F, beginning at the end of the pavement in Holbrook and extending east on Route 260, Floyd Beeghly, resident engineer.
The New Mexico Construction Co. has construction 20% complete on the surfacing and oiling of approximately 15 miles of highway, beginning at the west end of the pavement and extending west, N.R.H. 24-A and N.R.M. 24-A, A. J. Gilbert, resident engineer.
All Arizona Engineering and Construction Co. has been awarded a contract and have construction 59% complete on a railroad overpass and approaches, located approximately 5 miles west of Flagstaff on U. S. Highway 66, N.R.H. 24-B. A. J. Gilbert, resident engineer.
Packard and Tanner have the surfacing and oiling of approximately 21 miles of the Holbrook-Winslow Highway by the plant mix method, F. A. Project E. 40, beginning at Holbrook and extending west, 92 per cent complete. Floyd J. Beeghly, resident engineer.

The Southern California Roads Co. has been awarded a contract for the surfacing and oiling of 14% miles, beginning at Holbrook and extending east on U. S. 66, N.R.H. 83-F, Floyd J. Beeghly, resident engineer.
Hodgman and MacVicar and Royden have a contract for grading, draining and surfacing approximately 18.2 miles, N.R.H. 83-D, beginning at the NavajoApache Co. line and extending east, Floyd J. Beeghly, resident engineer.
Heuser, Garnett & Fleming have been awarded a contract for grading, draining and placing of base course on 13 2-3 miles, beginning at the east end of 83-D, and extending east, N.R.H. 83-D, Floyd J. Beeghly, resident engineer.

R. C. Perkins, District Engineer L. E. Dixon has completed the grading and draining of F. A. Project 99-D on the Globe-Showlow Highway which begins at Seven Mile Draw, about 19 miles northeast of Globe and extends northeasterly approximately 114 miles, A. F. Rath, resident engineer.
L. E. Dixon has completed the grading and draining of F. A. E-99-C, Globe-Showlow Highway, (which begins about 114 miles N. E. of Globe and extends approximately 114 miles), A. F. Rath, resident engineer.
Lee Moor Construction Co. has the construction of a steel bridge across the Salt River on U. S. Route 60, approximately 43 miles north of Globe, 5% complete, A. F. Rath, resident engineer.

W. R. Hutchins, District Engineer Phoenix-Tempe Stone Co. has N.R.H. 18-G, a railroad overpass located approximately 12.5 miles west of Tombstone on U. S. Route 80, 1% complete. J. R. Van Horn, resident engineer.
Phoenix-Tempe Stone Co. has a contract for the surfacing and oiling of N.R.H. 18-B and N.R.H. 18-C, which begins at the Cochise-Pima County line on U. S. Route 80 and extends west 12 miles, J. R. Van Horn, resident engineer.
Pleasant-Hasler Construction Co. has the surfacing and oiling of N.R.H. 79-F and N.R.M. 79-F, 8.9 miles, beginning in the town of Tombstone and extending northwest 8.9 miles, 24% complete. R. D. Canfield, resident engineer.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION Route 7
Haddock and Lindberg of Pasadena, Calif., have contracts for grading and draining two adjoining sections of the Oak Creek National Forest Highway. Section H, length 2.947 miles, extends from the Flagstaff city limits south to the beginning of Section G, length 9.688 miles, which continues in a southerly direction to the top of Oak Creek Hill. The estimated combined cost of the two projects is $239,370. The work is about 10 per cent complete. E. J. McCracken is the resident engineer.
