WHERE IS THIS?

It's not surprising that this duo, picnicking on a monolith, is enjoying such spectacular views they're sitting near Arizona's rooftop. To get there, they hiked a former toll road where Model T Fords once chugged. Now it's used for only foot traffic, but the altitude still takes its toll. Named for the man who built the road in 1926, this trail eventually culminates at Arizona's highest point, though most trekkers prefer the shorter, better-known trail. Even without cars it gets noisy, with Clark's nutcrackers cackling and bull elks bugling to their harems.
