Route 7, Oak Creek National Forest Highway

The grading of Section K of this route is under contract to Lee Moor Contract-ing Company. Length of project 1.872 miles. Work is just getting started. C. R. Brashears, resident engineer.

Route 19, Clifton-Alpine National Forest Highway

Route 30, Globe-Showlow National Forest Highway

Packard Contracting Company, Phoenix, Arizona, has contract for construction of a bridge across Showlow Creek on Section B of Arizona Forest Highway Route 30, Globe-Showlow, and grading and placing subgrade reinforcement on Section C of the same route. California-Arizona Federal Lands Route 8

Wickes Engineering and Construction Company, Des Moines, Ia., has contract for construction of Parker Bridge and approaches. Length of project 0.84 miles. Project is just getting underway. W. K. Bertken, resident engineer.

Bids Opened

Bids were opened on December 8, 1936 for installation of metal plate guard rail on section of the Cameron-Desert View Approach to Grand Canyon National Park. G. Clay Gates, Thermopolis, Wy., submitting low bid of $18,122.40.

Bids were opened on December 22, 1936 for placing bituminous surfacing on Grand Canyon Route 8, extending from Grand Canyon Village 8.639 miles westerly. J. A. Cason, Phoenix, Arizona submitted low bid of $68,678.50.
