Circling Through Arizona Over Fine Dirt Roads

NOVEMBER, 1926 Assist cars that stall in the water. At present there is about sixteen inches of water in the river. Any material increase in flow makes it impossible to cross. General roadway conditions from Tucson to Douglas are good. To insure maintenance of traffic over said highway, a temporary bridge will be installed across the river, utilizing the abutments of the washed out bridge. Equipment for the installation of this bridge is on the ground, and the bridge gang will start work November 9.
SURVEYS
A location party under supervision of Percy Jones, Locating Engineer, is now investigating the practicibility of a joint county and state bridge to replace the St. David bridge on Bankhead highway which was lost during the recent San Pedro Flood.
