NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids for the construction of the Phoenix-Yuma, Federal Aid Project No. 56 Reopened, will be received at the office of the Arizona State Highway Commission, Phoenix, Arizona, until 2:00 P. M., October 1, 1928, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
All bids must be marked upon the outside of the envelope, "State Highway Contract, F. A. Project No. 56 Reopened."
The work consists of the construction of one 3 span concrete bridge over 20' clear span and one 10' bridge culvert with approximately 700 feet of approach fill. The location of the 3-span bridge is approximately 14 miles west, and that of the 10' bridge culvert approximately 1/4 of a mile west of Gila Bend. The approximate quantities are: 31000 C. Y. All bids shall be accompanied by an unendorsed certified or cashier's check for not less than 5% of the gross amount of the bid, payable to the State Treasurer of Arizona.
The Arizona State Highway Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Copies of the plans and specifications may be seen at the office of the State Engineer, Phoenix, Arizona, or may be obtained upon the payment of Five ($5.00) Dollars, which will be returned to the contractor should the plans and specifications be returned within ten (10) days after the opening of the bids.
The bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of the specifications and contract in the bidding and the award and execution of the contract.
It is to be noted that the contractor is required to furnish all materials for a complete work.
