On December 30, 1926, President Machado signed a decree confirming the award to Warren Bros. Co. The amount involved is $75,896,653.00. The adequate paving of the Central Highway of Cuba is deemed an economic necessity for the development of the social and business life of Cuba. The award was considered by fifteen national institutions before being accepted.
