Art, good taste and consideration for environmental beauty can be applied to the design and development of tennis club. High walls, chain link enclosures and high-watt stadium illumination can give a refined residential community a "penitentiary-look" image. We are proud to present this new and unique concept of the Camelback Racquet Club as proof that progress, profit and consideration for property improvement and the preservation of environmental beauty is not an impossible dream.

Indoor tennis will be played in Arizona for the first time with the opening of the Camelback Racquet Club at 7847 North Mockingbird Lane in Paradise Valley.

Camelback Racquet Club's four indoor courts will be divided and private. In addition, the building will house saunas, four separate locker rooms for men, women, boys and girls; a complete pro-shop featuring the finest lines of tennis equipment and a selection of tennis fash-ions for all ages; and a comfortable dining facility. From the lounge you may view the play on the indoor courts or from the patio, where food and beverages will also be served, you may view the play on the outdoor stadium court.

The club's ten outdoor courts will be walled, not fenced. This type of construction is unique and a first for tennis in that the indoor tennis building and the sunken, walled outdoor tennis courts will be handcrafted in the traditional adobe look of the Southwest.

A hot therapy pool will be located adjacent to the swimming pool. Camelback Racquet Club will offer a complete swim program for all ages including coaching and interclub competition.

Camelback Racquet Club will be under the direction of William F. Tull, well known in American Tennis for 25 years. Mr. Tull, a former nationally ranked player, has served on the Eastern Lawn Tennis Association's Ranking Committee and the Board of Governors of the Bronxville Field Club in charge of Junior Tennis Development. A member of Forest Hill's Tennis Club, he conducted National Tennis clinics for children and youth under their auspices. He has served as Junior Davis Cup Coach for the Phoenix District of the Southwestern Lawn Tennis Association. He is a member of the United States Lawn Tennis Association's Umpire's Association and is currently a ranking senior player.

Mr. Tull and his staff have planned a complete teaching program for children and adults of all classifications. There will be competitive tennis on all levels of play for those who are interested. Inter-club matches are also being planned.

Camelback Racquet Club is a private club offering a limited number of memberships ranging from Junior single members to senior family memberships. Members are entitled to the use of Camelback Country Club's championship golf course, clubhouse, pro-shop and all facilities year round.

Opening is scheduled for the fall of 1974.
