Wide Ruin Rugs are hand spun, fine weave, and of superior quality. Colors are all vegetal dyes with some natural grey and white wool. The two-faced blanket is produced during one operation of a highly complicated arrangement of heddles. A complete description of this process is given in Amsden's NAVAJO WEAVING (see pages 8-9).
