Rainbow over Rainbow Bridge
Rainbow over Rainbow Bridge

Last summer artist John Hilton called to tell us he was inspired to paint Rainbow Bridge by moonlight, especially for this Christmas issue. Later he wrote: “we arrived a couple of days after full moon. The weather was unsettled and for a while we thought we might have to postpone the bridge by moonlight. Late in the afternoon it started to rain... someone said I should paint the rainbow over the bridge. I reached for my camera and enclosed is one of the shots I took. It didn't look good for moonlight, but at least we were privileged to see the bridge with a rainbow.” Never before in our memory have we reproduced two masterpieces one a photograph, one a painting, by the same contributor.
