On Being Navajo

Tommy DeJolie, Navajo, wants to tell the unvarnished truth about his people, who have been too often romanticized. Says DeJolie in an April 1940 story, there is no fundamental difference between the Navajo and white men. "I don''t understand why it should be otherwise."
