Throwback Thursday: May 1935

May 1935 cover of Arizona Highways

From the issue: "Highway 88, or better known as the Apache Trail, offers the motorist such scenery as is pictured on our cover page. The photograph is of the 'Walls of Bronze,' a peculiar geological formation reaching a height of more than 600 feet from the road bed. The precipice derives its name from glistening bronze coloring. Photograph by Norman G. Wallace."
