I was just walking around my front yard looking for photos to take. I don't know what drew me to take a photo of this. The colors, the simple look, I will never know. All I know is that I'm glad I took it.

CLOUDS AND RAIN

Location: Maricopa park

It had just finished raining where I live and I wanted to go out to take some photos. I've always loved the Texas Sage Plants (more well-known as Texas Ranger) when they are in bloom. Their green leaves and purple flowers, the different textures that they have. I knew when I saw this flower the photo was meant to be.

Waking up to a storm before sunrise while camping is not always the greatest. However, in this case it gave me the opportunity to capture this image during a break in the storm.

While staying at Kendrick Cabin for a summer vacation a long lasting monsoon storm rolls over. The mountains as the main focus already a dark shade of cyan mixes as misty curtains of rain shower around the peak. the misty effect caused by the rain blends and mixes the colors of the rich summer grasslands and the soft blue mountains and creating an almost gradient across the whole photo.

This photo shows the true beauty of the most simple things in nature no matter where you live, I took this photo at my high school of one of our plants to show that something small like the leaves are one of nature's perfections.

This was taken in my neighborhood in February 2023. I wanted to capture the way the sunlight was leaking through the flowers.
