Imprisoned Rainbow

BY: Natt N. Dodge
Over rolling hills shouldering into the sky The scattered bones of a giant lie; Stone bonos which onca were resilient wood And, as graceful trees, in a forest stood. Was the forest rated? (Geologists dream.) Were the trunks spread far by some lazy streame? But Nature and Time did their work, though slow, And preserved the wood with the Rainbow's glow. Natt N. Dodge
