Air Travel Division is now a fully functioning unit and many clubs are already in this field of service." Mr. Henry pointed out that the Air Travel Division is prepared to furnish A. A. "Equally important", said Mr. Henry, "will be the civic leadership which A. A. A. motor clubs will take in the promotion of aviation within their re-spective communities. This will extend to the securing and improvement of airports and to general promotion of the cause of flying. Numerous instances are already on record where clubs have been called upon to render emergency service to aviators and in every in-stance they have responded." Mr. Henry's statement continues: "Since the organization of the A. A. A. back in 1902, the Association has been steadily pushing forward toward the goal of an all-inclusive travel ser-vice. This has been necessary through the demand of motorists for service beyond the travel horizon of the auto-mobile.

Copies of the plans and specifications may be seen at the Office of the State Engineer, Phoenix, Arizona, or may be obtained from the State Engineer upon payment of ten ($10.00) Dollars, for each job, which will be returned to the contractor should the plans and specifications be returned within ten (10) days after the opening of bids.

The bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of the Specifications and contract in the bidding and the award and execution of the contract.

It is to be noted that the contractor is required to furnish all material for a complete work.

September 27th, 1929, and after the disposal of other business, publicly opened and read at the office of the Arizona State High-way Commission at Phoenix, Arizona. All proposals must be marked upon the outside of the envelope "State High-way Contract, Federal Aid Project 69-Reopened, Schedule 1."

The work consists of the construction of a hundred foot concrete slab bridge and 650 feet of earth approaches located approximately 4 miles west of Sentinel

Sealed bids for the construction of the Casa Grande-Gila Bend Highway, A. F. E. 744, Vekol Wash Bridge will be received until 2:00 P. M., September 27, 1929, and after the disposal of other business, publicly opened and read at the office of the Arizona State Highway Commission, at Phoenix, Arizona. All proposals must be marked upon the outside of the envelope "State High-way Contract, Casa Grande-Gila Bend, Highway, A. F. E. 744, Vekol Wash Bridge."

The work consists of hauling two steel spans from Hassayampa and erecting same together with one-quarter mile of roadway, at the Vekol Wash, which is approximately one-half way between Gila Bend and Casa Grande, on the new road. The work is to be completed on or before December 31, 1929.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids for the oil processing of the Globe-Safford Highway, Federal Aid Projects Nos. 87-C, 15-A & B-1 Reopened and 87-A-1 Reopened and the Benson-Douglas Highway, Federal Aid Project No. 79-D, Schedule number 2 will be received until 2:00 P. M. September 27th, 1929, and then publicly opened and read at the Office of the Arizona State Highway Commission at Phoenix, Arizona.

The Benson-Douglas Project shall be opened first, and after satisfactory disposal, then the Globe-Safford Projects.

All Proposals must be marked on the outside of the envelope either "State Highway Contract, Federal Projects 87-C, 15-A & B, 1-Reo, and 87-A, 1-Reo," or "State Highway Contract, Federal Aid Project 79-D, Schedule 2" as the case may be.

The Benson-Douglas Project consists of oil processing, by the Road Mix Method, approximately 7.5 miles of roadway beginning at Benson and ending at St. David and is to be completed December the 31st, 1929.

The Globe-Safford Project consists of oil processing approximately 16 miles,
