Loan of Highway Equipment Chairman Addams asked Vice-Chairman Hart to take the chair and stated he would like to bring up to the Commission that at the present time the Department is loaning trucks to various departments of the state, more recently to the Fish and Game Association. There seems to be a question in regard to the drivers of these trucks. The situation is, if they put green men on the trucks, who do not understand about them, they bust them up. He stated he would like to get an action from the Commission that only truck drivers who have had experience on this kind of trucks be employed, and if they would contact the Highway Department they would get a list of such drivers. It was regularly moved by Chairman Addams, seconded by Commissioner Mansfield, and carried, that only truck drivers who have had experience on highway trucks be allowed to drive.
Mr. Vic Housholder appeared before the Commission and stated as Secretary of the Arizona Good Roads Association he wished to formally present five resolutions to the Commission that had been adopted by the recent meeting of the Arizona Good Roads Association in Safford. NEW SLANT TO GARAGES
A means of lessening their troubles in getting into and out of alley garages has been found by residents of Kansas City, according to a recent trade publication. All garages facing on the alleys are set in a diagonal position so that they can be headed into or backed out of without trouble.
Cut Down Highway Maintenance
Replace those old bridges, with all their danger, worry, and expense, with the new Giant Culverts.
Armco Multi-Plate
Made of Heavily Galvanized Armco Ingot Iron Plates (No. 7 to No. 3 Gauge) with corrugations 6" wide and 1½" deep, for convenient assembly in the field, they furnish waterways from 7½ to 122 feet in diameter. Singly or 2 in a battery, they will care for streams of from 75 to 150 square feet and more in cross sectional area. They are Strong and Safe and immensely durable. The maintenance cost which their use abolishes would justify, if capitalized, a far greater expenditure.

Mexicans Building International Road
That remarkable progress is being made on the International Pacific Highway in Mexico, strengthening the promise that the 1600-mile route between the United States and Mexico City will be open to travel by late fall of this year, is evident in a communication and photographs just received from Colonel Filiberto Gomez, Governor of the State of Mexico by the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Three large forces of federal soldiers are grading a road in both directions through the 32-mile section of the formidable "barrancas," a steep, mountainous region in the state of Jalisco. It is expected to have this road graded through by late Spring before the long, rainy summer season begins, so that it will be ready for pioneering motor travel in the fall.
