hoto Adventures Focusing on Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon

Haunting, magical, mystical, inspiring these are some of the words used to describe the natural beauty of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Set in the stunning red rock country, these spots lure visitors from throughout the world with fan cifully sculptured sandstone buttes and pinnacles with names like Bell Rock and The Chapel, a verdant forest with sweeping vistas and hidden sylvan glens, and a bubbling stream that meanders through it all. Capturing the incredible beauty and color the reds, greens, deep blues, and cloudy whites of Sedona and Oak Creek will be the focus of a Friends of Arizona Highways Photo Workshop to be held November 3 through 6, 1994. Bob and Suzanne Clemenz, contributors to Arizona High ways, National Geographic, and Time-Life as well as longtime res idents of the area, will lead the workshop, offering their exper tise in field photo instruction and the special insights of those who know their subject well.

In addition to stops at the sandstone formations Bell Rock and The Chapel, Cathedral Rock, Grasshopper Point, and Midgley Bridge, the four-day workshop will include visits to Slide Rock State Park where a natural water chute offers fast-paced fun to summer recreationists a four-wheel-drive tour through rugged and scenic Sol dier's Pass, and Montezuma Castle, a cliff dwelling built in the 12th century by the Sinagua Indians.
