Arizona Highways' query acceptance period runs only once per year. Our submission window for the 2025 editorial calendar will be March 7-31, 2024. All queries should be submitted via email to Senior Editor Kelly Vaughn at [email protected].
As in years prior, Arizona Highways is seeking queries for the Dining, Lodging, History and Around Arizona sections of The Journal. Dining, Lodging and History stories run around 450 words. Around Arizona stories run at 800 words.
Feature stories should — as always — encourage travel to and across Arizona, even if the approach is counterintuitive. In addition to our standard coverage of environment, culture, history, food, personalities and experiential travel, we're seeking stories that fit into these themes:

- explore the mountains
- explore the backcountry
- explore Northern Arizona
- explore autumn in Arizona
