A brand new exhibit is opening at the Gallery in the Sun in Tucson: Arizona Highways and Ted DeGrazia will kick off with an opening reception on Friday, May 24.
The exhibit, in conjunction with our June issue, commemorates DeGrazia's unique relationship with Arizona Highways Editor Raymond Carlson and the magazine. Selections of artwork featured in the magazine, as well as articles related to DeGrazia and his art, will be on display.
As an artist, Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia left a lasting impact on Arizona — including in the pages of Arizona Highways. Now, one of his children is doing the same in a different art form.

Ted DeGrazia, a prolific artist and a longtime Arizona Highways contributor, opened Tucson's DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun in 1965. He died in 1982, but the gallery has endured as a showcase of the work of DeGrazia and other Southwestern artists.
Longtime Arizona Highways contributor Ted DeGrazia's mural in downtown Phoenix is in jeopardy, and saving it would cost a quarter-million dollars, The Arizona Republic reported earlier this month.
