The Tucson area is hosting a large gathering of Native American arts, crafts and culture this weekend. 

The Wa:k Pow Wow will take place at Mission San Xavier Mission del Bac on March 16 and 17. 

This is the 37th year for the event, which features dance and music contests, as well as lots of food and other activities. Gates open at 10 a.m. on both days. Adult admission is $7, while kids 6 and up get in for $5. Parking is $3 per vehicle.

The event is open to the public, but no video cameras are allowed; still photography is welcome.
