North Rim Campground

North Rim, Grand Canyon National Park

Set among the aspens and pines on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, this campground is, in a word, gorgeous. It’s well loved by the rangers who care for it and the people who visit, and it shows. Shady, spacious sites are suited for families with tents, but RVs also have a place here.

In other words, there’s plenty of room for everyone, and because the campground is right along the Rim, everyone should want to visit it. “But the North Rim is such a trek,” you say. The amenities here make the trip worthwhile. In addition to flush toilets, coin-operated laundry machines and showers, you’ll find a general store that contains just about anything you could need, from peanut butter to sweatshirts to gummy worms.

Just as at DeMotte Campground north of here, there’s plenty to do on the North Rim, whether it’s sitting back and soaking in the scenery or hiking into the Canyon. No matter your adventuring speed, you won’t regret making the journey.
