The Kingman Club is back in business. Sort of. The 71-year-old bar, located at 312 E. Beale Street, has been shuttered for years, which means its iconic neon sign (pictured), once featured in Arizona Highways, hasn't glowed in a long time.

Now, a new owner, Stacy Thomson, has renovated the bar and turned it into the House of Hops, which offers 27 beers and 10 wines on tap, the Kingman Daily Miner reports. The new bar opened May 1.

Thomson completely renovated the bar, putting in new flooring, walls, electrical and plumbing. She also spent $2,000 to restore the sign, which now is glowing again.

Beale Street is just north of Andy Devine Avenue, the section of Historic Route 66 that runs through Kingman. We wrote all about Kingman's connection to the Mother Road in our May issue.
