The "stormageddon" that swept through the Phoenix area this week caused a lot of damage and inconvenience (including at Arizona Highways World Headquarters, which lost power for 24 hours). But it wasn't all bad news: Now, you have more time to enter the photography contest at this year's Arizona State Fair.
The contest's organizers have extended the deadline to Wednesday, September 9, at 11:59 p.m. You'll need to create an entry by then, but you'll have up to 30 hours after that deadline to upload your photos.
The extension comes after Monday's heavy storm caused flooding at the fairgrounds, leading to problems with the fair's phones and computers, organizers said.
